The dirt track, Track of Champions, at the Indiana State Fairgrounds has been around since 1903. The Hoosier Hundred race has been happening there since 1953, according to Indy Star.

But 2019 will be its last year, as the Fairgrounds are going to replace it with an all weather surface for parking and harness training.

Currently another location is being scouted for the Hoosier Hundred. But Mario Andretti said, “It won’t be the same.” Others feel the same and have started a petition.

It was started yesterday and has nearly 5,000 signatures already.
