Why Is Taylor Swift Counting Down?

Taylor Swift recently posted the pic below to Instagram with the caption “4.26” in addition to a corresponding countdown to in her Insta Story. What’s more is that she also DISABLED COMMENTING on the post! Worry not. Just because you can’t openly comment on Insta, doesn’t mean people won’t talk about it everywhere else!!

It’s not clear what exactly she’s up to… But you can guess that she’s excited because, as Entertainment Weekly reminds us, Taylor said in Elle magazine

“I make countdowns for things I’m excited about, When I’ve gone through dark, low times, I’ve always found a tiny bit of relief and hope in getting a countdown app (they’re free) and adding things I’m looking forward to. Even if they’re not big holidays or anything, it’s good to look toward the future. Sometimes we can get overwhelmed in the now, and it’s good to get some perspective that life will always go on, to better things.”

So what is THIS countdown for?

It’s Taylor Swift, so maaaaybe it’ll be new a single and the beginning of a brand new album. Someone has gone so far as to calculate her projected album released date based on her release history. Cool.

One Reddit user gets extra credit on their homework for this theory. Apparently Taylor Swift’s official calendar has a special stamp 122 days from 4/26…

But some folks on Twitter (including my boo) think she’s counting down to “Avengers: Endgame” in connection with her own Reputation song “End Game.” LOL.

Whatever it is, I’m baited and hooked. Bring on April 26th!
